Gin was traditionally made from juniper berries, however modern day gin is usually made from a distilled spirit, usually vodka, infused and flavoured with botanicals.

Our range of Copa de Balon (Balloon Gin Glasses) is the Spanish Gin Glasses design that has swept the world by storm with the resurgence in popularity of gin. The Copa de Balon is a stemmed glass that has a large round bowl with a wide opening. The bowl shape is designed to trap aromas of the gin inside the glass, giving a better taste as the drinker’s nose is able to get closer to the drink too! The large bowl also allows for plenty of ice to be added, with the added volume of liquid also meaning the ice does not melt as quickly. The perfect Copa de Balon glass that Rinkit! has to offer is also the most popular gin glass we sell: the Rink Drink Spanish Balloon Glass.
Or, try out our Argon Tableware Corto Stemless Gin Glasses for an alternative look at your summer party. Super handy without tall, thin stems, you can hold your gin glass comfortably and as and when it's put down so you can have a boogie, it'll rest sturdily without the risk of being knocked over by darting arms and drunken wobbles.

Gin glasses should leave plenty of room for packing in fruit and ice for a flavourful drink. Gin glasses vary in size a lot, from 240ml all the way to 940ml. Gin glasses and size will depend on personal preference of how much you like to pack in fruit and ice.
Gin glasses can also be called Copa de Balon glasses, this is taken from the Spanish for gin glasses that have a balloon-like shaped bowl. You can also have gin glasses that are called Highball Glasses, these are tall and slim glasses. We have a variety of these gin glasses available.
