All gathered round the Fire Pit

One of the simple pleasures in life is family, and spending time with them is something I think we all used to take for granted. Following lockdown restrictions, I know that family time now will be spent a lot more with love and appreciation for the ones I have around me and I hope everyone reading this feels the same.

As we are in the colder seasons coming into the warmer, it’s the perfect time of year to buy yourself a fire pit. Imagine this with me, everyone’s wrapped up in blankets and scarves, there’s hot chocolate in large mugs with mini marshmallows, and you're all sitting around a warm cosy fire pit as the sun sets on a stunning Sunday evening. If that doesn’t sound like your kind of thing, then get out a glass of wine instead.

Get Toasty withit!

Activities around the fire pit could include toasting marshmallows with the family, which is always fun and filling (in the tummy) just make sure you get yourself some smores to make it a night you won’t forget.

Another way of using your fire pit would be for a BBQ. We have a range of fire pits that also come with a grill, perfect for a Saturday bbq with the family. Creating a Garden of Dreams

We all know that making the garden look better than your neighbours is the new hottest trend of the year. So make the garden a centrepiece the neighbours will be jealous of for as long as they live next door with a fire pit of dreams. You want to be able to make the garden look as relaxing and calming as possible, whilst being a safe and fun place for the whole family to spend time in. So find a space that is a little tucked away or a space that isn’t used as much and build yourself a relaxation station. Make the fire pit the star of the show and get comfy as you watch the stars from your comfy warm seat.

Our range teaches you how to use a fire pit whether you’ve done it before or not. Whether you have a big family or whether it’s just you enjoying some peace and quiet outside with the warm fire, and a glass of rose. We have a selection to suit any garden, terrace, patio or open space to choose to get set up.

Choose the one that’s right for you and your family!

We have a range to choose from and depending on what you want will depend on how to use a fire pit. For example, if you want something that’s going to double as a log storing space then you would love something like the Harbour Housewares Steel Brazier Fire Pit. This fire pit design has practical benefits as the gaps between the beams allow air and oxygen easy access to the fire, keeping everything burning brighter for longer. Giving you more time with the family enjoying every minute.

If you fancy something that is smaller but still multipurpose with the added extra of a handheld tool to help you move the dome. Then the Harbour Housewares Steel Garden Fire Pit with Grill & Spark Guard (54cm) is perfect for you. This fire pit comes with two grates - a smaller log grate and a larger cooking grate. The log grate elevates your burning material slightly from the base of the bowl, improving airflow. The larger grate allows you to flame-grill burgers, vegetables and other foods - perfect for a BBQ on the beach! So you have a fire pit or a BBQ in one, ready for any occasion!

All you need to know

When it comes to fire pits there are a few things that are always helpful to know.

Firstly - they can be dangerous around little ones or kids, we suggest our range of fire pits that also come with a dome cover, this will prevent any flicks or flames coming close to any little fingers.

Secondly - our fire pits are made from strong durable materials such as steel and cast iron. Even though this does mean they are safe and sturdy, they still get very warm and little ones shouldn’t get too close.

Thirdly - Enjoyit! The flames, the outdoors, the smokey smells are all things we need to appreciate more. Whether you are with the family or on your own you will find having some peaceful time with a warm fire outside is a seriously great way to unwind.
